Dialysis Concentrates
Dry powder bicarbonate and citrate concentrates for preparing dialysate, supplied as the Bain BiCart 720g, the BiBag 650g and dry citrate dialysate powder, plus Citric Acid 50% for machine decalcification.
Overview
Haemodialysis concentrate is a product intended to be mixed with water to prepare a solution with an electrolyte composition similar to that of blood, a dialysate, for the exchange of solutes with blood through a semi-permeable membrane in the dialyser of a haemodialysis system. It is intended to remove metabolic waste from the blood to help maintain physiological blood electrolyte and pH levels.
The product is supplied as dry powder, including dry acid concentrate and bicarbonate concentrate. The semipermeable membrane principle, through diffusion and convection, removes harmful and unnecessary metabolic waste and excessive electrolytes from the body, purifying the blood and correcting water-electrolyte and acid-base balance.
Intended use
The product includes salts of the following constituents: sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, chloride, and anions of weak acids, for example bicarbonate (HCO3), acetate and citrate. After application, this device cannot be reused.
Indications
The device is indicated in the treatment of acute and chronic renal failure during the haemodialysis procedure.
Contraindication
There are no absolute contraindications for bicarbonate dialysis. The haemodialysis concentrate must be used only on the direction of a physician who has evaluated all the pertinent features of the product in relation to the individual patient.

Bain
Dry Powder BiBag 650g
Our BiBag 650g is a sodium bicarbonate concentrate in a sealed polyamide polyethylene (PA/PE) unit. When hung on the connector nozzle, water passes through the bag, producing a saturated bicarbonate solution ready for single patient use. The dialysis machine then mixes that solution with water and the acid concentrate to produce a bicarbonate-based dialysis fluid.

Advantages of the B-Bag
Less waste cost
The flexible, recyclable bag may reduce waste costs depending on your facility and local waste management provider’s acceptance of PA/PE materials.
No spilling
No spilling or dripping during disconnection, and no manual removal of remaining water.
More hygienic
A more hygienic way to work, with minimal waste volume.
Less storage
Less storage space required than liquid bicarbonate canisters.
Lighter handling
The lightweight packaging removes the strain associated with lifting heavy liquid bicarbonate canisters.
Single patient use
One bag per patient treatment, prepared online during the session.

Machine decalcification
Citric Acid 50%
Citric Acid 50% is a powerful decalcifying liquid used in dialysis units, hospitals, and other medical facilities to remove mineral deposits from medical instruments, equipment, and surfaces.
It is a clear, colourless liquid with a citrus-like scent, and its high citric acid concentration makes it an effective solution for removing hard water stains and mineral build-up.
Citric Acid 50% is easy to use for disinfecting dialysis machines. Simply run the required disinfection protocol on the dialysis machine with the suction tube in the Citric Acid 50% canister and wait for the disinfection program to complete.
